If I could swallow a tree…
Photo of Theresa by Joshua Jordan – Photo of Jeremy by Donald GrahamBlake, an art-world star acclaimed for his lush and moody “moving paintings,” shape-shifting innovations mixing abstract painting and digital film, had ended his life on the night of July 17, 2007, walking into the Atlantic Ocean off Rockaway Beach, Queens, never to return. “I am going to join the lovely Theresa,” Blake, 35, had written on the back of a business card, which he left on the beach, along with his clothes.
“The lovely Theresa” was Theresa Duncan, a writer, filmmaker, computer-game creator, and Blake’s girlfriend of 12 years. He had found her lifeless body on July 10, 2007, in the rectory of St. Mark’s Church in Manhattan’s East Village, where the couple had been renting an apartment. There was a bowl full of Benadryl pills, a bottle of Tylenol PM, and a champagne glass on the nightstand. There was a note saying, “I love all of you.” Duncan was 40. The last post on her blog, “The Wit of the Staircase,” was a quote from author Reynolds Price about the human need for storytelling and the impossibility of surviving in silence. Source: Vanity Fair

Songkran is the name of the New Year in Thailand. It occurs in the month of April and lasts for three days as per the Gregorian Calendar. New Year celebrations begin with cleaning of house. People perform various traditions and rituals to welcome the New Year. A most important tradition is to throw water on each other. This is done to purify the souls. Thais wish Sawatdee pi Maï or Happy New Year to every one.

”These hearts were painted by my girlfriend and I in Coimbra, Portugal a couple of years back. She is from Coimbra and I am from Chicago and we’ve been able to maintain a long distance relationship for the past 2.5 years. Since then, we continue to paint some of these hearts every time we are together in Coimbra. What is interesting about Portugal’s Calçada (sidewalk), is that you can take a combination of a minimum of three stones and find the shape of an abstract heart form. The heart can grow by adding more stones to the original three.”

I love the old saloons that always appear in cowboy films. There are no closed doors at the saloons just swingdoors, absolutely wonderful! I illustrated my own pink saloon, of course, with swingdoors!
"After nearly a decade at Odenplan and a 'guest stay over the summer' at
Grev Turegatan, are we now 'once again' opening in mid November at the
permanent address: Scheelegatan 5 on Kungsholmen

I love the fine silver necklace, ‘Safe From Harm‘ so I have now ordered my very own!

I think they are small works of art, and damn good to munch on!
A muffin a day makes the soul happy!
I love the colors! It’s a great feeling to play with colors, it’s something that makes me happy.
Think of all the colors that exist!? Imagine, there may be as many colors as there are
people on the planet… Who knows. They are in all cases, wonderful!
” I employ the pure feel of bare porcelain with the hues of bone, water, stone and small splashes of intense color. I emphasize the contours of my pieces and delineate their boundaries. Although my inspiration draws on organic matter, I aim to create forms far from those found in nature.”
